What We Believe

The 1689

Baptist Confession of Faith

Our beliefs are summarized in the beliefs of the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith. Here are a few of our church distinctives:

  1. We not only believe in the inerrancy and infallibility of Scripture, we believe in the sufficiency of Scripture – the Word is sufficient for all areas pertaining to life and godliness.

  2. We believe the church should complement the family, not segregate the family. We, by design, do not have children’s church or youth group. Families worship together. We teach that parents are primary, according to Scripture, in raising their children in the Lord, and we provide them with tools to train their children in the Scriptures and in godliness.

  3. Expository Preaching – Our preaching is systematic, verse by verse through books of the Bible. It’s Christ-centered!

  4. Advancing the Kingdom through Biblical evangelism, as opposed to the man-made inventions such as the “alter call” or repeating a “sinners prayer”, etc.

  5. We seek to be relevant to the culture while never conforming to it! We actively teach how to hold to a Biblical worldview for all current issues, especially humanistic philosophies that threaten the church (Colossians 2:8).

  6. Unity – We seek to grow together in Unity and Sanctification, always measuring our ways and methods to Scripture, not forming them by the culture or current trends.
